Japanese Entrepreneur, Yusaku Maezawa will be the first commercial passenger to attempt a flyby around the Moon. He will fly onboard a SpaceX BFR rocket, which is currently in development. It is the next-generation reusable launch vehicle developed by SpaceX. It is a supersized rocket and spacecraft designed for transportation of people and cargo to the Moon, Mars and beyond.

The flight is slated to take place in 2023 with a duration of nearly six days. He will take six to eight artists ( A painter, musician, film director, fashion designer) with him as a part of an art project he has created called dearMoon. In this revolutionary art project, some of Earth’s greatest talents will board the spacecraft and be inspired in a way they have never been before. Together they will head for the Moon 238,900 miles away.
